Climate Assessment

The CSP Climate Assessment consist of a variety of techniques that units deem best to audit the climate within their academic unit. The audit might rely on focus groups, surveys (including online survey) or other means to generate a portrait of the present climate. The purpose of the survey is to ascertain students' perceptions of the climate for diversity in the classroom. The comments of all students ensure the success of this survey. Confidentiality will be maintained. Students participating in the focus group and/or the survey will not be identified by the demographic information provided. The unit will see only the summary of the entire audit of the unit. The audit will also take advantage of the consultation of units working with special student issues such as the Offices of Minority Affairs, Disability Services and Ethnic Student Services.
