Summary of Goals
A faculty learning community will be developed to support a cross-disciplinary
cohort of medicine and health-science faculty to design, implement, and
evaluate educational
technology projects of internet streaming I-videos, animations, and digital
narratives in online
learning environments. A social constructivist approach will be used to
create an active and
conducive learning environment on evidence-based educational scholarship
and to create a
cohesive “community” between cross-disciplinary faculty and
consultants. Results will improve
student learning, create faculty scholars in educational technology, help
to transform faculty
development, and contribute publications to a much-needed body of evidence-based
educational
practices in medicine and health science.
