Summary of Goals
This is a proposal for a Course reVisioning Grant for WS110, a general
entrylevel
GEC course covering a wide spectrum of topics in Women's Studies. The
proposed
course would be offered in a distance format, and would be delivered through
a contentrich
website and through the use of a learning environment in the online virtual
world
Second Life. The proposed course has been approved by the Women's Studies
Undergraduate Committee, and I am now testing the software in a hybrid
course,
teaching half of the time in computer lab and the other half in a traditional
classroom
situation.
