I have been teaching my native language, Serbian (formerly known as Serbo-Croatian, now, however, as Serbian in Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnian in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatian in Croatia) since 1995 to native and non-native speakers alike.

In my classes I attempt to help students understand ways in which Serbo-Croatian operates so that, after a full academic year of instruction, they have a solid base for further advancement. Authentic audio, visual, and text materials take students on imaginary field trips to the region where the language is spoken on an almost daily basis. In class activities are planned to revolve around students, who communicate among themselves - in the target language - from the very first day.
