At Ohio State Food Science and Technology, we impact our world with food through innovative learning, discovery and outreach. This relatively small department won the Provost's 2000 Departmental Teaching Excellence Award, http://fst.osu.edu/Archive/oncampus.htm

Food scientists are key to improving the human condition. We improve everything from the farm gate to the dinner plate. Ohio State graduates make food more nutritious and safer.

Students work with an award winning faculty. Many have earned the University's Distinguished Scholar Award and the Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching, and all have received external awards commending their work. Many students and faculty are on a first name basis.

Students find this a compelling place to learn. Our student teams are nationally competitive. Our product development team made national finals, our college bowl team won the national championship. Our dairy products judging team was tops in the big ten. Our students are among the best at Ohio State.

We reside in the new Parker Food Science Building that features state of the art labs and classrooms. Drop by for some ice cream from the campus creamery that our students staff and operate.
